Be visible in the plant and available to operations personnel to support and maintain overall EHS programs while incorporating accountability and responsibility for EHS performance into all levels of Operations.
Coordinate activities of the in-plant emergency response team assuring compliance with applicable standards for emergency response.
Provide EHS committee members with work assignments, training, feedback, coaching, support and development opportunities.
Provide support and leadership to operations to effectively manage regulatory compliance, environmental, health and safety standards of the operating units.
Utilize corporate guidance/specifications to ensure compliance with applicable EHS standards.
Ensure compliance standard owners are in place for each subject matter area.
Manage regulatory agency inspections, inquiries, contacts and reports in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Work with the Corporate EHS Team as appropriate to implement improvements, assess issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Apply risk identification and management practices for emerging regulatory issues and continuous improvement.
Identify, develop, manage and audit for continuous improvement relative to EHS performance.

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Environmental, Safety, Engineering or related field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an EHS role within the chemical manufacturing facilities
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an environmental leadership/management position in chemical manufacturing facilities
Experience working with government and regulatory agencies to ensure environmental compliance with all applicable local and national laws and standards
The ability to travel throughout the US approximately 30% of the time and on short notice for emergencies.
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and report-writing skills
