Description

Growing global company located in Southern Indiana is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to perform activities to ensure that the people, processes and products of The Dallas Group of America, Inc. meet or exceed company/customer expectations in quality and cost. The Senior Human Resources Generalist will provide overall HR support to attain plant departmental goals and objectives. You will provide human resources support for all employees.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recruiting and staffing for all hourly positions, including coordinating staffing with temporary staffing agencies as well as the internal job posting system.
  • Organize the orientation, on-boarding process for new hires and temporary staffing.
  • Build rapport with employee group.
  • Maintain employee documentation.
  • Design programs to improve the employee experience.
  • Participate in the design, implementation, improvement and administration of employee policies and procedures.
  • Act as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, regulations.
  • Assist in entire Performance Management process.
  • Develop employee relations activities and events.
  • Conduct internal investigations and report findings.
  • Work within the HRIS system (Paylocity) including payroll timecard processing, reports and changes. This includes data entry on a regular basis.
  • Collect and analyze HR data, make recommendations for changes to management.
  • Assist in the coordination and administration of various training programs for employees.
  • Liaison with local Universities coordinating the co-op program.
  • Supervisor and lead HR Intern duties and performance.
  • Track and report HR metrics such as absenteeism, turnover, labor hours.
  • Communicate and coordinate benefits including FMLA and Worker’s Compensation.
  • Ability to coach and make decisions within given authority.
  • Provide HR support to other DGA locations.
  • Follow and carry out GMP, SQF, and Food Safety policies. Report any deviations to management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Manufacturing environment experience.
  • Expertise in policies and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of hiring process.
  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations.
  • HR Certification preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
